Setting up an Autoresponder

Omnistar Email Marketing Software comes with a built in Autoresponder feature, allowing anyone to automatically send out emails as part of marketing campaigns.

Autoresponders can be programmed to send out email at any later time, so you can setup everything at once and trust our software to send out the campaign whenever you program it to go out.

STEP 1: Navigate to the Autoresponders Page

From the main admin page, select Setup Auto-Responders. From here you will create an autoresponder with the add button.


STEP 2: Enter information for the Autoresponder

Input a name and which mailing list to use for the Autoresponder, as well was what format the email will be sent in and which types of users you wish to receive the email.


STEP 3: Create the Email

You will next be taken to a page where you can create the email you would like to send out. Make sure you enter a text format email to go out to users who do not read emails in HTML.

In this section you will also set when the email will be sent out, so make sure you enter the right time. You have the option of segmenting your list, if you wish to do so, check the option "Allow me to limit who will get this autoresponder..."


STEP 4. Optional: Target the list

If on the previous page you selected the option to segment the list, you will now have the option of limiting those who receive the email. Select which users will receive the autoresponder and click Submit.



STEP 5. Set up the Chron Job on your server

From the main autoresponder page, copy the chron job and run it on your server. This only needs to be completed once, then the software will automatically be checked for outbound email by your server.
